Spring is easily my favorite season. The weather warms, flowers bloom, and fashion gets fun! Don’t get me wrong – I love fall fashion with its chunky sweaters, tailored coats, and boots galore. But spring fashion is much more bright and colorful, not to mention light and breezy. When spring styles start hitting the stores, I start thinking sunshine and tropical vacations. It literally makes me FEEL good, like a breath of fresh air. Speaking of air, blue is a major color story this spring, and it’s an especially popular color for dresses (mostly lighter shades or subtle stripes). Unfortunately for my wallet, I have a thing for blue dresses. I won’t even tell you how many I own in various iterations, however I didn’t own a lace version until now. I’ve seen multiple takes on the blue lace dress this spring, and this particular dress was the right style at the right price. I wore it for Easter brunch last month, but it could easily be worn for a Mother’s Day event or a spring/summer wedding.

Long Live The Little White Dress
This post was inspired by the Lucky Community prompt. Fortunately, I just scooped up this little white dress at Banana Republic last month, and I hadn’t worn it until now…
I’m a huge fan of white dresses, especially in the spring and summer months when it really doesn’t feel right to wear black. However, my big thing with white is always adding a pop of color. I can’t do all white…it’s too bland for my taste. For a flirty white dress, I’m inclined to wear red heels and a red lip, to channel that classic retro vibe. For this look I also added an emerald green clutch, and kept the rest of my accessories simple. This particular dress could go for day or night, but here I wore it for an evening dinner in historic Claremont village.

“I Got My Red Dress On Tonight”
I scooped up this little red dress at H&M just before the holidays last year. I fell in love with the silhouette, especially the asymmetrical hem that’s cut higher on the sides and longer in the back. It’s fun and flirty and feels like the right kind of dress to go dancing in! It’s also the perfect dress for a Valentine’s date night. I added a black patent belt for additional waist emphasis and kept the other accessories to a minimum. I absolutely adore the shoes – metallic gold film strip heels by Paper Fox by ShoeDazzle…could they be any cuter?! I finished off this look with a classic quilted bag, for an outfit that’s equal parts chic and sexy. How do you plan to get wrapped up in red this Valentine’s Day? Share with me in the comments ❤ ❤ ❤
