Winter is for sweater dresses. At least that’s my motto. So of course I own lots of them, and every fall I like to invest in one or two new ones. This past year I had to wait it out because LO was born in September, and although I was dying to shop right away, things didn’t fit quite right. So this cozy Free People sweater dress was a more recent find, and to my delight I got it for a fabulous price. You guys know how I love sales!
Pretty as it is, the dress was a bit too dainty on its own, so I added a kick-ass leather harness to turn it up. (Note that I’m technically wearing the harness backwards, but in my opinion it works both ways.) The over-the-knee boots were another awesome sale score, and I’ve been wearing them a lot this winter. One thing I have to be super thankful for in my pregnancy is that my feet didn’t grow. It’s a common problem, and something I was terrified about, because I own way too many fabulous shoes. So YIPEE for that! I love all the different neutrals in this look. Neutrals typically play well together, so don’t be afraid to experiment and mix them up.
