Here at Style Me Senseless, every Tuesday is a day to celebrate shoes! Today I’m highlighting a British footwear designer, Sophia Webster. Webster started out as a design assistant to Nicholas Kirkwood, and debuted her own line not too long ago (back in 2013). Her colorful, whimsical designs caught my eye right away, and are a favorite among fashion insiders. Gorgeous as they are, they’re not exactly affordable, with shoes averaging about $600 a pair. However, you can find discounts on older styles via sites like The Outnet. You can also shop for Webster’s designs at Net-A-Porter, Nordstrom, and Saks. Her design aesthetic is definitely “loud” which is something I love because I think it’s fun to be creative with fashion. However, if you have more minimalist tendencies, her shoes are probably not for you. Sooooo what do you think? I’d love to know how others feel about her designs.

Tuesday Shoeday: Dolce Vita
I absolutely adore Dolce Vita for shoes. For a long time they also made apparel, but it appears they’ve phased that out to focus on what they do best. They offer two lines – their main line, Dolce Vita, and the slightly lower priced but still very appealing DV. I own shoes from both. The designs are similar though the quality of fabric tends to be a bit higher with Dolce Vita versus DV. I’m happy with all my Dolce Vita shoes…the DV line may not be as high quality, but they’re definitely budget friendly and still super cute. Sooooo here are some of my top picks for spring, straight from the Dolce Vita website.
Annnnddddd here are some of my very own shoes, from previous appearances on the blog…

The Dolce Vita “Kleat” bootie – I’m in love with these and wore them all winter long. On sale for a killer price at 6pm!!
Shoe Love Is True Love
If there’s one fashion item I’m obsessed with most of all, it’s most definitely the shoe. Shoe’s are sculptural, and I see every style like a work of art. Plus I’m a shortie, so I rely on heels to make me taller 99% of the time. I’m constantly trolling the latest styles (both designer and affordable) so I think I’m going to start doing a Tuesday Shoeday segment each week to highlight new finds and top picks. In this case, I didn’t want to wait because Nordstrom is having their semi-annual clearance sale and one of my favorite (affordable) brands, BCBGeneration, is on clearance. They make SUPER CUTE shoes for the price, and right now you can score all the styles below for around $60 each. I have my eye on the red and yellow pairs, but I haven’t splurged yet.
Shop these bright spring styles at 40-50% off online at Nordstrom!
On a side not, I adore Nordstrom because they offer free shipping, free return shipping, and they have a very lenient return policy. Once I bought a pair of heels so uncomfortable that even I couldn’t bare it. I brought them back to Nordstrom and received a full refund regardless of the fact that they had been worn. Their customer service is generally very good.
